Bicycle Tour of Italy 2010
the day 23th May 2010

 

The presentation of the 93° bicycle tour of Italy has uncovered the first levels of this important bicycle race held in Italy every spring. The race will start in Amsterdam on 08th May 2010 and end in Verona on 30th May 2010.

After the previous experience of last May on the Venice Lido where started the 100° bicycle race, this year the race will stop also in Mestre where will start the 15th level of the tour on Sunday 23rd May.

Departure from Mestre like in 1997, when Mario Cipollini started from “Piazzale Leonardo da Vinci” wearing the pink jersey, won the day before with a triumphal final sprint in front of the  Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido.
The 15th level of the race, as anticipated, will start in Venice, go on along the streets of the Veneto and finish on the mountains of Zoncolan.
In the cycling, Zoncolan is a mountain for the families and, as the end of the tour will be on Sunday, this last level in Zoncolan will be a special day for all the families.
