The protagonist of the fourth and last exhibition about China will be the Dinasty that ruled over the Empire from 1644 to 1911: Manciù, the last Emperor.

The exhibition will take place at Cà dei Carraresi from 29 October to 13 May 2012 and arouses great interest among history lovers. For the first time ever in fact, many personal items of China last Emperor Pu Yi, protagonist of the unforgettable Bernardo Bertolucci's film (9 Oscar Awords), will leave Changchung Palace in Manchukuo to be on the show.

The weapons and the uniforms of the great Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong, the precious furnishings and fittings of the Mukden Palace, the great collections of Empress Cixi are only some of the items exhibited, together with the story of the Empire crash and the coming of Republic.The exhibition will close the circle of "La Via della Seta e la Civiltà Cinese" (the Silk Road and the Chinese Civilization) and will celebrate the fortieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China. The most important Exhibition ever realized, even in China, on Manciù is ready!

Ticket sales will be suspended one hour before closure of the exhibition.

CLOSED: every Monday, 24, 25, 31 December 2011 and morning of 01 January 2011. EXSTRAORDINARY OPENINGS: Monday 13 October, Monday 26 December, Mnday 2 January and Monday 9 April (Easter Monday)

TICKETS:

  • Full: E 12,00 (with audio guide)
  • Reduced: E 10,00 (university students with student card or university student's record book, over 65 years old)
  • Reduced: E 9,00 (up to 18 years old) free entrance for children up to 5 years old and disabled persons with helper
