From 13 November 2010 to March 13, 2011 the House of the Carraresi will stage one of the major and expected events of the year, the exceptional exposure: "The artist and the model.
"The painter and the model, from Canova to Picasso" offers an itinerary and tour through two centuries - the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - together, side by side, the great European masters that have dedicated themselves to an interesting topic, since ever passion of artists and audience: the relationship between painter and model. It's a topic launched by the Romantic painting reissued the exciting myth of Raphael and the Fornarina, and then was lucky uninterrupted until the end of the twentieth century.

Muse, model, lover, wife, sister and mother, so the women of the painters becomes a permanent presence of artists and multiform: first daily link, then inspiration, finally transfigured body in the legend of its own history.

The encounter between the creative genius and his inspiration is narrated by a broad and comprehensive overview that Canova reaches its apex in the Master work of Picasso. Such meeting was held by a detailed description of interpretations that explores artistic movements, the cultural atmosphere, the evolution of the aesthetic language of the 2 century protagonists, the different kinds and the rise of a tradition that identifies, in this same theme and in his artistic expression, almost a kind of themself.  

Spectacular gender and unique story of the passionate and vibrant fusion between reality and imagination, allows visitors to live an experience full of ideas and emotions. The hand and the genius of Canova goes away slowly in the incipit of the exhibition to identify, in a feminine beauty, a new object of interest that becomes the subject of art.

An important place in the path is dedicated to Picasso, the most passionate singer of this theme over the duration of its existence.
Paintings and engravings attest in large numbers the artist's studio, of the Vollard Suite of the '30s until the '50s and early '60s when it started the great cycle "Le Peintre et son modele. The exhibition is curated by the Professor Nico Stringa, Professor of Art at the Foscari University of Venice and has the collaboration of prestigious Italian museums and major national and international institutions.

From Friday to Sunday from 09.00 to 20.00

For each visitor to the audio guide is included in the ticket (except for ticket holders free)

Reduced ticket Eur 08,00 (over 60, under 18, certified teachers and friends of the show)
Free ticket = children under 5 years old, the handicapped passengers.

Thursday in November and December 2010, January and February 2011 will be organized courses in painting from life down into four sessions:
(1 meeting theoretical to the practical part 3)
Start time 19:00, 2 hours, cost Eur 50,00 (including 2 tickets to the opening exhibition)
