The International Guitar Festival Of Two Cities, Rome and Treviso, opens Wednesday, Sept. 1st in Treviso the 2010 edition, which has this year as a dominant theme "Water and metamorphosis". "Identity and Otherness "with many of the most representative artistic expression where the music is the thread. "Water" as deep symbolic value, found in every period in music and in Art and his "Metamorphosis" for express those transformations of the identity of the community of Treviso, Roman and Italian in general.

The international event, considered one of the most important events in the world dedicated to the six strings, will take place from 1st to 23rd September and will consist of concerts, short films, interviews with artists, conferences, a photography exhibition, masterclasses, an exhibition of violin making, events that will lead the audience through the magic and secrets of faraway places that describe the atmosphere, the feelings, the diversity in music and art come together and complement each other.

This year the Artistic Director Andrea Vettoretti (one of the most respected guitarists today) has created a billboard that goes from the classical music, in Soul music, in Spanish music up to the Mediterranean music.

Flamenco, dance, song and Andalucía verses written by Federico Garcia Lorca. A sentimental journey to discover the mythical creations, like the figure of “Gypsy” and “fighter” with extraordinary performers, not to be missed.

Friday, September 3: Eden Theatre
“Que the dam el río Juan Falu
One of the greatest composers in music tells Argentines His interpretation of water as “the dam, Que el río” (who told the river) that gives the title to the concert, as well as traditional folk songs with lots of surprises ..

Sunday, September 5: Eden Theatre
“Pacific Coast” Maximum Of Cese
Dances from the Mediterranean to Romantic music, from jazz to Turkish music on a musical journey without borders …

Monday, September 6: Palazzo Scotti
“The Island of the King” Carles Pons
Music by Granados Spanish and Catalan folk songs, to bring the French chanson, the Portuguese Dances, to the North American music.

Saturday, September 11: Teatro Eden
“Agua Vinho” Kosho – Wiedemann Duo
Kosho, a fine singer and guitarist of the rock band most famous in Germany “Söhne Mannheims” in duo with classical guitarist Wiedemann. Musical experience not to be missed!

Monday, September 13: Teatro Eden
“The Stream and the ocean,” David Russell
The return of a large Star of the guitar world. Winner of a Grammy Award was established by the New York Times “A talent of extraordinary dimension.”
